New CityCat terminal now operates at Northshore Hamilton

The new Northshore Hamilton CityCat terminal, which was funded and delivered by the Urban Land Development Authority, will extend the CityCat network further downstream to accommodate future growth in the Northshore precinct.

Ferry terminal features

The new Northshore Hamilton CityCat terminal will include:

  • a sheltered gangway and waiting area containing 24 seats
  • non-slip gangway and pontoon flooring
  • a pontoon that will accommodate two CityCats at the same time
  • sustainable resources, including recycled building materials, a rainwater tank and solar panels along the length of the gangway

The terminal will also provide better access for all commuters, including the elderly and those with disabilities.

New services from Northshore Hamilton

New CityCat services from Northshore Hamilton CityCat terminal will commence on Sunday, 2 October 2011.

Week day services

Each week day, the Northshore shuttle will provide commuters with express services (26 minutes) to and from the city. The service will operate between 6-9am and 4-7pm, departing on the hour and stopping at:

  • Northshore Hamilton, Apollo Road and Riverside inbound; and
  • Riverside, Apollo Road and Northshore Hamilton outbound

Weekends and pubic holiday services

Northshore Hamilton CityCat services will integrate with existing CityCat services and operate between 9am and 4pm.
